Many people mistake me for a performing artist. I'm not, and I don't have the personality for that.
I don't "perform" — I just play. It's different. I want the focus to be on the piano and the moment and what's going on inside the people who are near. I don't want the focus to be on me.
I'm not built to play for an "audience", but I love playing for people who are having a special moment in nature — mini weddings, proposals, small celebrations. My focus is high impact for a small group of people. I can create a special moment for you, but it will always be intimate & personal.
Here's how we bring your moment to life:
1
Tell Us Your Vision
Describe your event, your location, timeframe, and the atmosphere you’re after. No detail is too small.
2
We Design The Moment
We check the venue, plan logistics, selects the repertoire, and handle the detail of getting the piano there.
3
Your Guests Never Forget
On the day, everything is in place. The piano. The landscape. All that’s
left is the music and the moment.
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if the weather turns?
We’ll work with you on contingency plans before confirming any outdoor booking.
How do you get a piano to remote locations?
Very carefully. Kelvin has a purpose-built transport setup and years of experience moving instruments through challenging terrain. The logistics are his problem, not yours.
What kind of music?
Kelvin has a tight repertoire consisting of contemporary classical, classical with a few pop pieces mixed in.
How about food, like a picnic?
If desired, we can arrange a picnic rug and a basket with a selection of Tasmanian cheeses, meats and condiments matched with a Tasmanian Wine.
How far in advance should I book?
At least 4–6 weeks for standard bookings. Remote or complex venues may need longer lead times. The sooner you reach out, the more flexibility we have.
Is this available outside Tasmania?
Kelvin is based in Tasmania and this is where the magic happens. For exceptional projects interstate or abroad, get in touch — we’ll explore it.
