I’ve done a little bit of everything in Hobart - the performance piano that I use for weddings on beaches and my pop up recitals stays at (and is owned by) Bethlehem house, the men’s shelter in North Hobart.
We (my son and I) move that baby grand up and down elevators and through tight doorways when navigating that building.

Hobart Piano Performances
I've been popping up around Hobart since 2019 — on Constitution Dock for a live news segment, St Davids Cathedral for the acoustics, Franklin Square, Hobart's Town Hall for a "Winter Warmth" fundraiser and on Elizabeth Street for a pop up recital.
My son and I moved a baby grand piano through the back alleys of Hotel Grand Chancellor and squeezed into an elevator with it and played live for the Stay Chatty Gala Ball. I also used to do gigs at Hadleys Hotel, so I've played there a few times and enjoyed company there also.

What types of piano do you move?
Baby grand, upright, and digital pianos. If it has keys and weighs more than you’d like, we move it.
Do you tune after the move?
Yes we can give your instrument an initial tune, but we recommend letting the piano settle for 1–2 weeks before tuning. We can connect you with a trusted tuner if needed.
How far do you service?
All of Tasmania. Hobart, Launceston, the northwest coast, and everywhere in between.
What about stairs or tight spaces?
This is what we specialise in. If it can be done, we will find a safe way to nurture your precious instrument all the way to its new home.
